Our Services :: Video Systems
When looking for a video projector or monitor you need to ask these questions:
- How big is the audience? - How many people will be looking at the screen? This is defined as image size, often quoted as the diagonal measurement of the screen.
- What images are likely to be shown? - Words only, computer graphics or video? The more detail that's needed, the better the resolution. The more contrast in the pictures (eg. black to white) the better contrast ratio. When watching fast moving pictures you need to have a fast refresh rate.
- Will the screen be used during the day?
The lighter the room is, the brighter the projector will need
to be. Projector brightness is defined in ANSI lumens. If there are
lots of windows and the sun tends to pour in then you may need to
consider fitting curtains.
Most projectors have two computer inputs (VGA) and a set of video inputs (s-video / composite). The standard Crystal Clear Audio installation will make full use of these inputs. One VGA connection point will be put at the front of the room and the other at the back along with the video connections. The latter is usually adjacent to a PA system.
