Contrast ratio - you might say this is the opposite of brightness or put another way, how black is black. Monitors and projectors vary dramatically.
- LCD monitor - 800:1
- Plasma - 3000:1
- Standard projectors - 400:1
- DLP projectors - 2000:1 (DLP projectors are designed for home cinema)
When showing words on screen the ratio won't matter too much. When showing video it will.
