Project Case Studies :: PA Systems
Seasalter Christian Centre
The Seasalter Christian Centre is part of the St Alphege Anglican team ministry in Whitstable. A church called to share the good news of Jesus, their passion is to see Christians of all kinds, new and old, young and not so young, grow in faith in Jesus Christ.
About the project
A powerful loudspeaker system with a centre flown pair of speaker cabinets at the front. The main PA equipment (amplifiers and graphic equalisers) is housed in a large 19" rack in a store room adjacent to the main worship room.
The system is controlled by a Soundcraft LX7ii mixer, 32 mono and 2 stereo input channels with 4 sub-groups, stereo and mono output and 6 auxiliaries. The mixer is housed in a mobile trolley which is connected to the infrastructure by a VDM150 multipin connector.
There is a second hands-free mixer, controlled by an Audio Technica automatic mixer with parametric equalisers providing additional tonal control for two radio and two wired microphones. A patch bay in the main cabinet allows the selection of radio and wired microphone channels. This is used for small daytime events when there is no experienced sound operator available.
