Project Case Studies :: PA Systems
Newlandhouse School
Newland House is a co-educational preparatory day school in Teddington, aiming to create a friendly and happy atmosphere in which the children can develop their own varied abilities and interests.
About the project
Two pairs of loudspeakers provide a distributed PA system in what is an extremely reverberant school hall. The equipment is housed in a wall mounted 19" cabinet in an adjacent room and is controlled by an 8-channel mixer in a portable rack bag. A side room is used as an additional audience area and has a 100v line speaker system.
Mixer inputs 1 to 3 are geared up for playback (eg. CD) or electronic instruments (eg. synthesizer). Input 4 has a hand-held radio microphone and input 5 to 8 overhead (Shure MX202) microphones. The mixer itself connects to a microphone multicore cable with an EDAC56 connector.
